BIBLE STUDY
We read and discuss the Lectionary. That is readings from the Old Testament, the Epistles, and the Gospels plus a Psalm, for the upcoming Sunday. There is a lively discussion, and we sometimes go down interesting and thought-provoking avenues. We always look forward to the Sunday sermon, where we learn even more. The study is led by Father Shane Scott-Hamblen and our seminarian Daniel Tate. Currently, we are meeting by Zoom. For the Zoom link, contact Daniel Tate at dtate@ses.cdsp.edu or 650-799-7084.

CONTEMPLATIVE MEDITATION
St Ambrose has a wonderful “Contemplative Meditation” community. We meet via Zoom Wednesdays at 10:00 am for about 30 minutes; it is a much-needed pause to ease ourselves past the so-called “hump day.”

During this time, we share a verse, readings, and music from a universe of sources ranging from Psalms, the Book of Common Prayer, Bishop Michael Curry, and Mary Oliver. We even read from the writings of Thich Nhat Hanh.

Most importantly, we share time as a community to remind ourselves to be mindful, compassionate, and loving in a world of relentless distraction.
