Our Mission
Youth ministry at St. Ambrose is about being present with our youth where they are and inviting them to grow in their awareness of what is right in the world and to live in the Love of God. Our program includes mentoring youth, pastoral care, creating opportunities for service and mission, teaching the Christian traditions of the Episcopal Church, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

SUNDAYS
Confirmation Class 6:15 to 8:15 pm (March 15 thru June)
Youth Sunday School – 10 to 10:40 AM
Middle & High School Combined Youth Group – 8:00 am to 9:30 pm (as arranged)

Youth Group
This is a sacred space for 6-12th graders each week to strengthen their faith by creating a safe community that engages issues relevant and important in the lives of our young people.

CONFIRMATION CLASS
Confirmation is a choice to say “yes” to God. It is about making the commitment to God and the Church community that they will live fully into their baptism. In preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation and the laying of hands by a bishop, we explore the meaning of the Baptismal Covenant, the Holy Sacraments, and what it means to be a part of the Episcopal Church and the wider Christian community. This class is typically offered in the spring and is for youth in 7th grade and above. Please contact Daniel Tate at ym_stambrosefc@att.net.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
All youth are encouraged to participate in frequently announced opportunities to make a difference in a community, from visiting elder care homes, serving food to the homeless and hungry, sorting food at a food bank, and raising money to donate to charities. A Summer Mission trip takes our high school students to other locations to work for a week with different volunteer groups.
