Raising Children with God’s Love

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Our liturgy teaches us to guide our children to God’s love.

Baptism is a person’s full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into the Church. When our children are baptized by the Holy Spirit, they are welcomed into the Church. The parents and the community are given the responsibility to guide the children to grow in God’s love and be good to others.

Our children and youth ministries include education and spiritual development, fellowship, and service. Through the many activities that the children can join to know more about Christian spirituality, they will grow in their faith and become good members of the Church and the community.

Children can join Sunday school, vacation bible school, acolyte training, and prayer services in Foster City, California. St. Ambrose Episcopal Church also conducts an educational program at Sea Breeze School to promote the holistic development of children.

Our Episcopal Church follows the teachings of Jesus to guide children to Him so that they will grow in His love and inherit the kingdom of heaven.
