The Importance of Christian Faith and Fellowship

An integral part of our faith is fellowship. In the Bible, this is clearly emphasized in Acts 2:42 notes. “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” It can be noted from the The New Testament that it expresses the idea of being together for mutual benefit.

At St. Ambrose Episcopal Church we give high importance to this because it helps believers of our church to express their love and affection to one another and it inspires them to do good works and deeds. Hebrews 10:24-25 shares this idea by saying, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Our episcopal church practices this by activities events such as the following:

  • Coffee hour after services
  • Annual parish-wide dinner which includes entertainment held at an outside venue
  • In the springtime, monthly small-group fellowship dinners are held in private homes
  • Serving the Community by providing and serving “Sandwiches on Sunday” – every couple of months

Strengthening your Christian spirituality through coming together with other believers in worship makes us stringer, reminds us that we are not alone and most importantly, it makes us grow in our faith. It makes us grow in the sense that we teach each other things whenever we come together.

Worship with us as we conduct prayer services in Foster City, California and join us as we proclaim the good news of God in Jesus Christ. Send us a message and let us know how we can serve you today.
